Yeah, I think so. The kosher bakery is across the street now. (Have you tried their little challah rolls? Mmm, tasty little challah rolls…)

Too bad about Ziba’s lease. I was only in there once, but it seemed like a friendly place. I wonder what will go in there next.

Is that the spot the kosher bakery used to be in? It sounds good; too bad I don’t live over there anymore. I saw that Ziba from Hot Stuff lost her lease a couple months back – I hope she turns up somewhere else.

Amy S, I know what you mean. I was so disappointed to get this tenacious cold. I’d been working very hard on my health for a year and I thought I’d made great strides, but there I was apparently putting the I(mmune) D(ysfunction) in CFIDS again. Knowing that everybody’s getting their ass kicked is sort of comforting. I do not wish weeks of misery/irritation on anybody, but it’s nice to know that my immune system isn’t all that far off normal these days.

I had pneumonia once in college. Oh, man, it sucked. That was miserable. I am watching myself carefully, that’s for sure!

You know, I feel quite a bit better tonight. If cinnamon rolls turn out to be a cure for the common cold, I am going to be a very happy woman. (Hey, it’s a formal possibility.)

two weeks and counting here. although according to the doc, i truly have the flu – and there’s nothing much you can do for the flu. at least i am no longer running the 102 temp.

I’m in week 1, and mine is most definitely not cold. The fever is what is killing me. I’m Day Five, and the fever didn’t come back until about an hour ago…progress.

To Geno, I say stop exercising. You may be only prolonging things by overstressing your immune system by exercising while sick. Of course, consult your doctor…I am not one and all that.

Yeesh. I’m sorry. I think the cough that ended up being pneumonia kicked in at about four weeks for me (possibly as early as three–I can’t remember). Even though your last visit resulted in a diagnosis of ‘viral’, if your symptoms change to include sinusitus or a cough that persists, go back!

Is it wrong of me to be reassured that everyone else is getting their ass kicked by whatever this is? I was seriously starting to wonder if my immune system was suppressed.

As for Geno’s suggestion of laughing, it’s not a bad one. But if every laugh turns into a cough, get thee to a doctor.

One week for me.
I got on antibiotics almost immediately, which has helped somewhat – keeping the infection (or perhaps opportunistic secondary infection) from creeping into my ears.

The antibiotics, and lots of fluids, and sleep, have kept my throat from getting sore for long.

But the sinus infection keeps dripping into my throat, causing a chronic cough, and has infected my upper lungs.

This has led to fatigue, forcing me to cut back severely on my workouts at the fitness center, and making me feel depressed.

I guess, laughing at the illness would actually help relieve stress, and help my immune system to develop an effective defense against this virus/bacteria which seems to have a good twenty-five percent of the folks I know infected, at any particular time.

Anyone know for sure what this is, or just who dropped the test tube?
