No watering of the lawn, rain barrels, drip irrigation for the small actual garden area.

The rain barrels will be used for both the drip and to water the potted veggies. We aren’t allowed to dig up a big area of the ground, so most the stuff will be in containers.

Need to figure out the showering bit, but we’ve already got an energy and water efficient washer.

Not a bad bit of work. Only thing different I’d do is mount the valve so pull-down was off (you want off to be easy, and on to be hard), but then again, that’s just the engineer in me.

I won’t water the lawn, (I never do anyway) or any plants. I will clean the hot tub whenever it needs it. If I take any fewer showers, people will start to talk about me behind my back.

I plan to scowl at the water-wasting neighbors whenever they’re out watering their lawn. I could probably optimize my bathing as well…

When we landscape, we’re going to put in an irrigation system so we can water only what needs it, and minimize the amount. Mulch etc. of course. Also, we’re trying to find stuff to grow that doesn’t need much water- that will make it harder for us to kill it. If we ever get gutters, we’ll get barrels.
