Oy, flu?

Moderate fever, sore throat, comes on like a freight train… sound familiar? Anybody know how long this bug usually lasts?

And of course my judgment has gone to hell. Every time I start to get a fever, I get all weird and manic, and only later do I realize what’s up. I really should stay off the Internet and keep well away from sharp objects and open flames today.

A full week for me. Two before I felt completely human and functional again. Sorry you’re sick!

When I got the flu (or stomach virus, or whatever it was that I had), it hit me like a ton of bricks. While we were eating dinner, I happened to comment “I feel like crap”. Less than an hour later, I was heaving up half my dinner and shivering uncontrollably. It took me 3 or 4 days to get more-or-less back to normal, though I transitioned quickly into a cold that’s lasted for a week or two.

    Good luck and be well!

Any more it seems like a week (or more) has replaced the 2-4 days it used to take me to get over a cold. My increased senescence or increased viral virulence? Bah either way.

    Feel better soon! I hope.

I had the fever for 4 days and the sore throat for 6. It’s two weeks later and I still have the sinus issues.

My doctor claimed it was a cold, not a flu. I still don’t know what the difference is (I know different virii cause them, but I don’t know how to tell one vs the other). I wanted to know if getting a flu shot would have prevented it.

    Good luck with getting better!

Brad had it for a week. I think I’ve been trying to get it for several.
