“Uh… oh. Hi.”
You know that anxiety dream where you’ve forgotten that you’ve signed up for a class and the final is tomorrow? Just about all of us have that dream, right? (Mine’s always a math class — there’s no bullshitting my way through that.) Last night I had a variation on that: I dreamed that I’d been in a long-distance relationship and had forgotten to break up. Whoops. Awkward.

Oh yup. I hate that dream. Mine’s usually a history class.
I think this is the first time I’ve heard of an LDR variant, though.

I’m just glad I didn’t try to write a horror novel for NaNoWriMo. At the point where society broke apart in my novel, I was having endless repeating dreams about how I was going to survive now that electricity didn’t work about any more.
It seems like a bad thing to lose sleep over the ideas in the quickie novel you’re writing. Fortunately, it didn’t last long, and I just skipped writing about the bad part.

I STILL have that damn math class dream periodically. So annoying! And it’s always set in junior high. You’d think at heading toward 50, I’d be over junior high…! …OK, sometimes it high school. I will probably be in a nursing home before it hits college.

I have the “you didn’t really graduate because you didn’t turn in your library books” dream at least once a year. It always feels very real and I stay depressed for a few hours after waking! Ugh.

Ya know that your LJ now is tagged as “May have adult content” or whatever…everything is cut-tagged and behind an age-consent click-through. Was that intentional? Apparently this is brand-new.

Yeah, this is Six Apart’s latest dull stab at trying to handle content that some may find objectionable. Yet another LJ feature I never actually wanted.
I haven’t been bothered to go and see whether there’s any ancient entry in my LJ to which someone might possibly object, so I’ve marked the thing “Adult Concepts”. Probably I’ll go poke around at some point soon. On the other hand, as Cissa says, “if I DID post something risque or whatever (Shut UP! It COULD happen!), I do not want to be fussed with how to tag that particular post so that Impressionable Young Things could not be irredeemably warped by it.”
The Manage Settings page should allow you to see posts from journals labeled “Adult Concepts” (and, if you like, “Explicit Adult Content”) without the tedious clickthrough. Those options are grayed out, though, if you don’t supply LJ with a birth year. (You’ll notice that I say “a birth year” rather than “your birth year”.)
