Huh. Looks like there's been a flood of spam from people at whatever.wordpress.com, and it got blacklisted. That should be fixed now.

This is the first time I've gotten Jehovah's Witnesses at this house as far as I can remember. (And doesn't that sentence sound like I'm talking about a species of carpenter ant?) Maybe the "no soliciting" sign helps. I wonder if they might not do better in a crappy 'hood; we're pretty snug and smug out here.

Took the scrolls out of the Mezuzah?! My jaw literally dropped. WTF, people?!

You never fail to crack me the heck up. Thanks - I needed a bit of humor today!

We don't typically get the JWs coming to our door - for one thing we live in what's perceived as a crappy 'hood (although we love it, and have fabulous neighbors and a sense of community) and we have our Mezuzah on the door, so I guess that helps too. It does not, however, stop the Mormons and the weird Evangelicals.

T once had a group of evangelical types take the scrolls out of the Mezuzah. What kind of messed up person does that?

We get the witnesses at work, I got a nice pamphlet to read on my break from them. (break from work not customers)
Personally, I'm in favor of any religion that encourages it's members to wipe the crumbs and ketchup off their table, or at least I like them better than a lot of our patrons.
