Okay, that's Ari & Rachel, Craig & Joel, and A&R's friend -- I think that's all the worms I have to give away. It's cool to see so many folks wanting to play with worms.

I hadn't meant to breed chicken feed, but when I do have chickens, I expect I'll let them handle the excess worms. The most annoying thing about worm composting is getting the worms out of the compost. Chickens, on the other hand, might find that fascinating and delicious work, more power to them.

If I had a bigger worm bin, instead of this wee proof-of-concept one, I could get the little critters to migrate from one side to the other more easily. Eh. If I'm really lucky, the chickens will be so voracious that they'll handle all the kitchen scraps I can give them, and I'll wind up giving away the whole worm bin. (If not, maybe I'll need a bigger chicken.)

Woooorms!

That's me, and I have a couple of different needs for the worms. I'm a bit afraid of starting one - I have two cats, and a small apartment with no good access to the outside. Is there a minimum size for them? I just visited some friends who were doing indoor composting, but in a big rubbermaid storage container that took up a good chunk of their living room.

Yay worms! My girlfriend Ari is actually looking to start a worm bin - okay if I point her your way?

(Also, I feel silly that I've lived in Seattle for a whole year and a half now and still haven't met you in person, considering how long I've known you on the Internets. Any chance you'd be interested in meeting over coffee or lunch sometime this week?)
