Cam, feel better. I threw out my back earlier this year, and then decided I should have a cold/sinus infection for most of November, and also had lots of dental work. Luckily I had painkillers, and I remember well that dizzy swoon of One Hour Sitting Up on the Couch, Two Hour FallDownGoBoom on the Couch. Glad you went to the doctor, and here's hoping you have plenty of patience as you go slowly. It's not easy.

I remember that! I really wanted to take inspiration from you -- this house could seriously use a wild tear of cleaning -- but it just wasn't happening. I tried picking things up, but down was too far down, if you know what I mean.

It was inspiring; too bad that it knocked you out. I'm finding that housework is surprisingly hard work, especially for work that still, somewhere down in the murk of my semi-conscious mind, seems like it should be done invisibly, automatically, perhaps by fairies. (And we could go into a long thing about traditional women's work and the invisibility thereof, but eh, it's been done. Suffice to say that I'm as brainwashed as anybody.)

Sigh. I did the same thing. That wild tear I went on, cleaning the house a few days ago? Has pretty much put me down for several days. Fortunately they've been snow days, but I'm starting to think I'll need to see a doctor. Or at least a massage therapist. So now I have to deal with the vagaries of the UW insurance to see if that would be covered...

Anyway, I just wanted to commiserate and say I know what it is to have your brain think you can do things and your body just not cooperate. Sucks.

I hope you feel better soon.
